Louis Vuitton & Takashi Murakami's 'Flower Parent and Child' Sculpture Installation, Kyocera Museum of Art Japan.

SDD24/11_03: Experience the enchanting fusion of art and fashion as Louis Vuitton and Takashi Murakami's iconic Flower Parent and Child sculpture graces the Kyocera Museum of Art in Kyoto, Japan.

Originally unveiled in Tokyo in 2020, this captivating installation is now part of the museum's Takashi Murakami — Mononoke Kyoto exhibition, featuring 170 works by the renowned Japanese contemporary artist. Crafted during the COVID-19 pandemic, the collaboration symbolises hope and resilience.

Adorned with Murakami's signature golden hues, the sculpture floats serenely on a pond within the museum's garden, atop a monumental Monogram Multicolour Trunk reminiscent of the 2003 collaboration.

Murakami's meticulous attention to detail preserves the trunk's iconic elements, including its canvas facade, metal accents, and wooden structure. Standing at an impressive 13 meters high, this sartorial masterpiece is just one of the many awe-inspiring pieces showcased in the exhibition.
