Free People has installed a fully operational coat check in the window of its Fifth Avenue store; staffed, signposted, tips jar and all, with one problem: nobody hands anything over. The jackets are too good to take off. A single idea, executed with complete commitment and zero competing visual elements. The attendant is bored, the rail is empty, and the window does all the work.
