Euroshop 2026: While 1,800 Booths Screamed, Tchai Whispered And Took Silver.
At Euroshop 2026, the biggest stage in retail design, brand-environment studio Tchai built a booth that did the opposite of everything around it. It took Silver.

The brief Tchai set themselves was, on paper, counterintuitive: at a trade show where 1,800 stands compete for the attention of the most visually literate audience in the industry, build something that brings people down rather than hyping them up. Deliberate calm in the loudest room in retail. The logic behind it is harder to argue with than it first appears. The Euroshop audience, industry professionals who absorb "innovative" and "disruptive" pitches all day, is immune to noise. Noise is wallpaper to them. What actually stops them is real intelligence. Calm reads as confidence. Confidence reads as authority. Authority builds trust.
The Tchi — Philosophy Made Physical
The conceptual anchor was the Tchi: a fusion of Tchai's name with Qi, the ancient concept of life force. Not a tagline, not a visual treatment — an energy that had to run through every touchpoint for the whole thing to hold together. And rather than gesture at that idea, Tchai committed to it completely. An energising drink with clean, natural ingredients — brand philosophy you could literally consume. Packaging that spoke the same visual language. A campaign drawn from the same DNA. And a space engineered to carry all of it without competing with any of it.

One Idea Across Every Scale
What makes the Tchai Euroshop booth unusual is not just the concept but the ownership of it. Strategy, concept, product design, packaging, campaign, spatial design, engineering, production, and installation — all handled by the same studio, with no handoffs between departments. The result is a single idea translated continuously across every scale rather than a concept that fragments as it passes through different hands. The drink, the packaging, the space, and the campaign are not aligned. They are the same thing, at different sizes.
The Tchai Silver Award at Euroshop 2026 is worth paying attention to because of what it says about where retail design credibility actually lives. At a show where scale and spectacle are the default, the jury gave its Silver to a booth built around restraint, coherence, and a philosophy that extended as far as the drink in a visitor's hand. That is not a small thing. It is a signal that the industry's most expert audience responds to exactly the kind of thinking that is hardest to fake — and that calm, when it is earned rather than performed, is the most arresting thing in the room.
