In the heart of Manhattan, construction is usually considered "background noise", an industrial eyesore to be hidden behind plywood hoardings. But for Prada’s Fifth Avenue flagship, the Italian house has collaborated with design studio 2x4 to prove that even mandatory infrastructure can be a medium for high-art storytelling.


By transforming standard commercial pipe scaffolding into a luminous, seafoam-green "moiré" installation, Prada has turned a renovation phase into a permanent urban landmark. This is a masterclass in Reframed Infrastructure, where the brand’s aesthetic heritage is woven directly into the structural fabric of the city.
