A resort pop-up usually just needs to look good in the sun. FARM Rio's four-day takeover of a neighbourhood épicerie on Place des Lices did something sharper — it quietly rebuilt the exact scene the brand itself was born from, nearly three decades and half a world away.

The location choice is the clearest signal of the thinking behind it. Place des Lices already runs on ritual, its Tuesday and Saturday mornings drawing residents and visitors to shop Provençal produce, flowers, and textiles beneath the plane trees, a tradition locals have followed for generations. Rather than competing with that rhythm or importing an unrelated concept, FARM Rio dropped a Carioca grocery directly into it, fruit crates, fresh produce, and colour-saturated product interspersed among them, so the activation reads as an extension of the square's existing daily life rather than an interruption of it.
